That being said, the fact a PC version of Metal Gear Solid 3 is missing is quite an omission. If announcements are happening from Konami, place a good bit of money of these games being announced here. It’s also the online-only version of Tokyo Game Show this week.
Meanwhile, MGS1 and MGS2 Substance – the latter a remix version of the game featuring the main game as well as VR Missions and non-canon side stories – did release on PC in 19 respectively (MGS2 Substance also released on the OG Xbox as well as PlayStation 2), but have never had digital releases on, say, Steam.
This’d be a good proposition for PC players looking for a more modern way to pick up these games, especially the original Metal Gear which hasn’t had a PC release of sorts since the original MSX version. The Taiwanese Digital Game Rating Committee (via Gematsu) posted listings for the 1987 original Metal Gear as well as the original MGS1 and MGS2 Substance. New PC releases of the trio of Metal Gear, Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty are on the way from Konami, according to new rating listings.
